Hoof trimming experts and bovine health specialists from all over Europe and internationally will be gathering this summer in Cheshire, UK, for Hoofcare 2007, the biennial European Conference for Cattle Hoof Trimmers.
Hoofcare 2007 will take place from 1–4 July 2007 at Reaseheath Agricultural College, near Nantwich in Cheshire. The event will feature a wealth of international speakers and workshop-style demonstrations alongside exhibition space showcasing the products and equipment of many leading manufacturers. Delegates will also have the opportunity to visit Europe’s premier annual agricultural event, the Royal Show, at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire whilst in the UK.
Tony Richardson, Chairman of the National Association of Cattle Hoof Trimmers (NACFT) who are organising this prestigious event, says, “We are delighted that the European associations asked the NACFT to host this year’s European conference. Our members are involved in wide ranging efforts within Europe to raise awareness of best practice and to demonstrate professional expertise within the industry.”
“Last year our persistence paid off with the introduction of a Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Cattle Foot Trimming that is validated by NPTC, part of the City & Guilds Group,” continues Tony. “We are now busy getting sufficient assessors trained to meet the demand for this qualification within the UK trimming sector.”
